The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 is almost excellent. Your camera is easy to use and provides fantastic outcomes under less than optimal conditions. There is a wide selection of selections from a smart Automatic mode by means of many predefined scene modes, aperture priority and shutter priority, to total manual focus using the capacity to regulate ISO, aperture, exposure, shutter speed and white balance.
A few of the predefined scene modes are frankly useless – the “food” scene produces blurry images with off color under any light conditions; nonetheless the High Speed Burst scene mode using the ability to capture up to 10 frames a second is impressive. Intelligent Auto is going to be the mode most users depend on plus it really performs very nicely.

Efficiency in low light is fantastic and also the wide angle from the lens is superb although it does not zoom as a lot as similar cameras. What’s odd is that Panasonic offers a large angle conversion lens with an already outstanding wide angle capability but does not supply a conversion zoom lens that this camera would benefit a lot more from. You’ll find conversion lenses available, 1 is often a 1.7X manufactured by Panasonic (however it will not seem to get designed with this camera), and 1 I use – the Raynox 2.2x which produces quite good results but necessitates the use of a tripod unless you might have hands as steady as rock. I’ve also tried some conversion macro lenses and was content with my photos.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5
The recent shoe adds the capacity to add an external flash but the included pop-up flash is mare than capable for most circumstances. The genuine advantage with the hot shoe will be the capability to incorporate viewfinders. You can find both optical and electric available. I favor the electronic viewfinder. It’s got the capability being rotated, displays all the info through the LCD screen which is pretty much needed in bright light conditions where the LCD will probably be practically impossible to see.

The capability to capture images in each RAW and JPEG format simultaneously is actually a large advantage for post processing.
Menus are deep and definately will take time to find out to navigate but are not an undue burden.

The sole cause I would not give the LX5 five stars is the much less that stellar zoom along with the fact which is much more bulky than other cameras rolling around in its class like the Canon S95. The LX5 might be challenging to transport in a very pants pocket given the distance the lens extends even when your camera is off. The LX5 boasts a removable lens cap instead of a internal lens cover. This leads to making it less portable.

It is worth noting how the Canon does not have conversion lens alternatives or hot shoe – if these matter more compared to the ability to slide you got it into your pocket, the pliability in the LX5 just may well allow it to be the camera for you. I enjoy the reality will carry this camera nearly anyplace (it will fit inside the back pocket of my jeans but it’s bulky) and in addition add lenses, filters, along with the viewfinder to adopt great images under almost any condition.
If you want a camera it is possible to put on the pocket of one’s tight jeans and carry everywhere you go the S95 may well be considered a much better choice.

I’ve been working with Nikon D3100 for past A few months. I am incredibly pleased with the photos & video clips I record. I never imagined I could create photographs of this top quality & clearness. I highly recommend, Nikon D3100 as the very best entry level DSLR, for individuals who desire to start digital photography on a DSLR. As a conclusion – The Nikon D3100 includes a large list of features which are easy to use, but still deliver effective results.

I love it! Even though it does not provide a built-in mic neither 1080p @ 60fps (for slow motion), this is a excellent value for entry-level Digital camera users, such as myself! I purchased mine restored for a 3rd of the actual video camera comparable cost and 50 % of it’s step up DSLR (including CMOS size)! I take in 1080p @ 24fps, as with every movie on tv! The Hollywood film look is indeed a turn-on, and the picture quality of incredible! Now, consider the audio from the lens that the on-board mic picks up. I’m investing in a digital recorder to remedy this issue, but this will only produce much more choices to have fun with, having two mic ports as well as flexible sound that I can synchronize in post. Most DSLRs have much less than incredible quality of sound and this is no different. The nikon d3100 isn’t your one-stop shop, however it is a very spectacular item of equipment for what it’s worth. You will get what you pay for! I rank this overall 4 out of 5 stars and highly recommend it for novices!

At this price tag, with this particular set of features, this particular digital camera is tough to beat. I purchased this as my personal first DSLR, and so I desired some thing affordable since I had no clue what I was stepping into. I’ve got a lot of friends that capture with Nikon, so I felt at ease purchasing the D3100 since I have had a great deal of experience to depend on. I haven’t been let down! The D3100 is really feature-packed that it is hard to comprehend why anybody might purchase the more costly non-FX Nikon models.

If you wish to go and invest much more cash, feel free, however purchasing a more costly digital camera won’t alllow for better images. Conserve your cash and purchase a D3100, you will not be disappointed.
